Unveiling the Interplay Between Silicon and Graphite in Composite Anodes for Lithium-Ion Batteries
This work emphasizes the interplay between Si and graphite with different lithium storage properties in mechanically mixed Si/C anodes during cycling. This interplay leads to a change in the lithiation order and the cycling performance. Changing the lithiation order therein by modulating the intrinsic properties and external conditions can be used for battery performance optimization. This interplay research based on Si/C hybrid anode lays the foundation for the development of long-life and high-energy batteries, and even provides logical guidance for future research on composite electrodes with multiple active materials.
