O2-Boosted Li-CO₂ Battery Performance via Microscopic Regulation

In this work, a theoretical model for describing the electrodeposition process of zinc ions has been developed based on the shape of the voltage profile, which is combined with the results of in-situ observations by optical microscopy. The model still can be applied in the electrolyte with higher viscosity, which indicates the universality of the model. The variation tendency of the key parameters in it further explains the regulation mechanism of viscosity for the zinc deposition process. This work can guide the development of interfacial regulation strategies and provide theoretical basis and methodological support for the development of high-performance aqueous zinc-based batteries.
