Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)

He earned his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Dirk Broer, Member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has been supported by prestigious postdoc fellowships including the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship (Host: Professor Metin Sitti) in Germany and the Hong Kong ITF Postdoctoral Fellowship (Host: Professor Li Zhang; awarded to approximately 50 individuals annually). He has received academic awards such as the Best Poster Award at the 2019 International Conference on Liquid Crystals and Photonics and the Best Paper Award at the 2021 International Workshop on Bionic Engineering.

His research focuses on intelligent soft materials, surfaces, and interfaces. He has published papers in renowned journals including Advanced Materials, PNAS Nexus, and Nature Communications. He serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for several journals, including Nano-Micro Letters, Journal of Bionic Engineering, and Biomimetic Intelligence and Robotics. He also frequently acts as a reviewer for journals such as Small, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, and Soft Matter.
