Numerical Investigation on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of Liquid Lithium Metal in a Bent Tube and Its Structure Optimization

In this work, the flow and heat transfer characteristics of liquid metal lithium in different bends were studied through numerical simulation, and the classical U-shaped pipe structure was optimized. The results of this work provide theoretical guidance and design guidelines for the practical engineering design of liquid metal lithium flowing in elbows and U-tubes, and promote the application of liquid metal lithium in space reactor heat transfer devices.
